Simple Woman's Daybook

to participate go here. For today Monday November 3.

Outside my Window...it is still dark, and we changed the clocks this weekend, so that means I am up way too early!

I am thinking... about why I am up so early...I convinced Mike to let me sleep and take Jonathan for a walk, only to have Jake get me up 5 minutes later because he peed in his bed and needed a bath.

From the learning rooms...the transcontinental railroad, that was finished in 1869, inspired the creation of "time zones" so when people were traveling by train they would know when they'd get to their destination. Before that everyone set their clocks at noon by the sun (when it was 9am in New York it was 9:12 in Boston.

I am thankful for...my family.

From the kitchen...more bread yesterday, spaghetti and meatballs for supper and I'm hoping the Bfarm family are coming to eat with us!

I am wearing...jammies.

I am reading...The Witch of Blackbird pond with Madi.

I am hoping...to take a nap today.

I am creating...bread and that pumpkin yesterday.

I am hearing...Mike and Jonathan coming back from their walk.

Around the house...the wii is going to help motivate the kids to keep it clean.

One of my favorite things...sleeping.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Symphony field trip on Wednesday, letterboxing field trip on Friday, and all the usual.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...Uncle Donald's Farm trip from 4 (?) years ago...

Have a blessed week.

Nice information about time zones! I had no clue. Dinner with friends is the best. Hope you have a great time!

The girls read that book and liked it.
I had no idea about the time zones. I learn something new everyday!

Ohhh, I'm lovin' this time change! I was getting lazy by the end of the summer and I enjoy that extra quiet time before all my kids are up and moving :-)

Blessings,

I don't believe I've visited here before. I see you have a busy week planned. I scrolled down to read a few other posts. Wii is a workout, I've played a few times with my "grands". The Pumpking night looks like loads of fun. Must have been a warm night.

You know I love the info about time zones---that's so cool! I love to find out that kind of stuff! YEs I was up early at 6 (since I lost my job, we all get up at 7 usually) so of course, everyone else wasn't far behind! It just seemed like we had SO much time this morning! I'm thinking a nap sounds good today too!

Love your morning thoughts. I always look forward to a nap but seldom get one. I would like to hear more about the wii to motivate children. Sounds great. Your sister in Christ, Doylene
