not very exciting

I just spend the better part of an hour trying to figure out how to post and comment from Mike's blackberry...and I'd done it before. Somehow Jonathan's laptop stopped getting internet access, so this is the best I can do. -guess no more pictures until we get home. As for my title, this isn't a very exciting post, and sadly not the most exciting vacation either. Thankfully we'd gotten off to a pretty fast start because we slowed way down. Friday night about 10 minutes from meeting friends, Madi started saying her stomach hurt. Suffice it to say it was a long night. Well I'm going to give the shortened version of the story now because of the blackberry, but basically it looks like it was a virus and not just Madi's sensitive stomach because Jake has it now. Not fun on vacation...not to mention we've been with more friends and I really HATE exposing people to yucky stuff like this. Yes only a month ago I had a post about this topic (sickness and superstition) here we go again. Also in between the two kids not feeling well, I put on facebook that we almost never get "normal illnesses"--spoke too soon. The thing is I don't handle illness in my family very well because we've had too many weird things happen and I tend to worry too much. Worrying and less than four hours of sleep is not a good combination, and that's where I am right now. I'm torn between wanting to be home right now and being really sad that our vacation is ending. I'm feeling rather pathetic right now.

I did buy the Jon and Kate book yesterday and finished the whole thing by this morning...LOVED IT!!

Oh, I so feel your pain! Been there, done that, have had that happen on vacation! The worse part is one does not have all the Lysol that one has at home.

I hope Jake is feeling better before Saturday!

Hang in there and try not to worry! It's just a good, old fashioned stomach bug! A week from now it will be a memory.

That's not fun to deal with at any time-never mind on vacation! Hope Jake feels better soon (and that the rest of you don't get it!)

I tend to overworry when Tucker gets a fever because of the seizure he had. And I agree, lack of sleep and worrying are not a good combination, though they do seem to go hand-in-hand for me lately.

That stinks Julie! Try not to worry. I know... easier said then done.
I said a pray for you just now, so that I wouldn't forget! And I'll say another later because you sound like you need it. Hang in there!

You never expect to spend your vacation like that. We had one and we were at my brother's house. I was up all night bleaching the bathroom. I was a nervous wreck, but luckily they didn't get it and neither did I.

Hope it turns out like that for you.

I'm so sorry! Home is definitely the best place to be when you are sick.
