On the road again...

I'm writing this on Jonathan's laptop from a hotel in Georgia. I'll be checking in from Mike's blackberry while we're on our trip, but may not be posting much or commenting on other blogs for a while. We left our house at 5am yesterday morning and arrived in Tallahassee at around 9. Mike had about 6 hours worth of work there and the day was our adventure. We found a pretty good Goodwill, spent a good amount of time at the Museum of Florida History (just one day after close friends had been there:( ). It was a lot of fun! Then we found a mall, ate lunch, FOUND A WII FIT (we had been searching since Christmas when Mike's father gave us money for one). Next to the mall was Kohls and Madi had a large gift card burning a hole in her pocket so we went there where she got a winter jacket (she'd had her other one since she was 7 I think), two shirts and still had money left over. While at Kohls the boys opted to stay in the car (it wasn't hot, Jonathan is a teenager, he had a phone and I had a phone etc...etc...) anyway they had the door locked and when we got to the car Madi pulled right on the handle even though it wasn't unlocked yet and the most obnoxious car alarm started blaring!! We've only had this vehicle for about a month and a half and had no idea what to do! I tried putting the keys in the ignition...no luck, I tried starting to drive away...no luck! What a scene!! A nice lady came over over to help us and suggested starting the car... (umm hello it is already running--to her defense though you couldn't hear it over the alarm), Jonathan thought is would be a good idea to call Daddy (what he could do for us I'm not sure, but it is nice to know at 13 Jonathan still thinks Daddy has all the answers), Madi was just about to cry, it was a mess! Finally the lady suggested putting the key in the lock (I'd already pushed all the buttons on the key to no avail) but low and behold putting the key in the lock worked. By then it was time to get Mike and head further north on our journey. We'll be staying with old friends tonight and we'll get to our timeshare tomorrow.

I wish we had known you were going to be in the area. We could have met you in Tally! We are only an hour away! I'm glad you enjoyed the museum. I have pics of Junebug and Spike in the same canoe!
