Run, run, run...

We really know how to squeeze the juice out of life...sometimes it gets exhausting!! There is so much that I want to get done around the house (well in all honesty I want it done, but don't want to have to do it), but by the time I get a chance I just want to collapse in a heap. It is currently 4pm and the last of the extra kids that we've had here all day have gone home (we had mother-daughter bookclub and babysitting today), and the last thing I want to do is clean anything up. The second to last thing I want to do is try to convince everyone else to clean up. Really the day with extra kids didn't produce anymore than the normal messes, but the normal messes are around nonetheless because there is always so much to do and never enough time! Yesterday we left the house at 9am to head to a play (Junie B Jones) and we went right from there to Disney (2 parks) and rolled back into the driveway after 10pm.

As any homeschooling mom will tell you (and most other moms too) there really isn't enough time in the day to get everything (schooling, cleaning, cooking) done. Throw in all the extra fun time with friends, park days, Theatre, etc...and it is really hard to keep your head above water. Now I'm attempting to "work out" everyday (wii fit:)) and that is just one more thing to add to the overloaded schedule. When I was a new stay at home mom with one toddler the days were neverending, now I get so frustrated at how fast the time goes because there is still so much more that I'd like to fit into my already jam packed day!

More about Junie B. How was it? She is a little stinker, but funny.

Hi Julie! It is Lisa, my friend came over and helped me break the code to be able to leave a comment...no never enough time but good for you making time to workout. I love exercising! Do it every day even if I have to squeeze it in after the boys are in bed.

I am so with you! Too many fun things and too many things that need to be done and then there is the whole tie to the computer...I think I need some good old fashioned discipline in my life!

You DO do a lot in one day. The Wii fit sounds like so much fun, but with all your running around you probably don't even need it!

I was wondering about Junie B, too. But actually, all the plays they do are great, I think.
