Another Monday daybook
You know the drill...go here.
For today October 6th.
Outside my Window...It is clear and sunny and the big kids are starting school work in the garage.
I am thinking...about our Christmas card. We always do a letter, but I kind of look at the blog as a daily Christmas letter, so I'm not sure what we'll do. I know it is early and I'm not trying to rush anything, just considering our options.
From the learning rooms...Jake is on Day 32 today, Jonathan and Madi are beginning week 8. I'm hoping to get a full week of school work in inspite of all of the appointments and field trips we have this week. In the old days I would call those things "school", but now we have a curriculum we're attempting to stick to.
I am thankful for...this October starting out so much better than last!
From the kitchen...Mexican tonight and a lot of "freezer clean out" this week. Our refrigerator and freezer weren't working Saturday evening and we had to move all of the freezer food into the garage freezer and the fridg ( frig? I don't like that word) food into a cooler. Then by Sun morning they were working...go figure. In that process we realized we have tons of food, so we opted against stocking up on the sale items this week, and we'll focus on cleaning out.
I am wearing...tan shorts and a yellow shirt.
I am reading...Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult for myself, Junie B Jones and Some Sneaky Peaky Spying to Jake, and Strawberry Girl and a Dear America about a freed slave to Jonathan and Madi.
I am hoping...the humidity will let up a little so I won't be tempted to put the AC back on.
I am creating...nothing new in that department.
I am hearing...Jake watching the Backyardagains.
Around the house...a lot of laundry to finish and put away.
One of my favorite things...Dancing with the Stars.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...too busy... Eye Dr appt for Jonathan, orthodonist appt for Madi, field trip to Circuit Court, Golf Clinic field trip, not to mention the usual schoolwork, babysitting, Theatre, AWANA, Youth group....it's making my head spin!!!
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...The Raintree in our back yard...fall in FL.

Hey Jul - what is Monday Daybook? Like the picture! We haven't had the AC on in over 2 weeks! Fall in Kansas is highs in the mid-upper 70's lows in the 40-50's. It's raining today - pouring!
